About Frank
Frank is a friendly, handsome Beagle who likes to keep himself to himself. He enjoys putting his head down and sniffing the ground in a typical Beagle way. He does however enjoy playing with his friend Rory and always gives an excitable bark when the leads comes out just before going for a walk. After an hour long walk we all enjoy one hour's playtime back home.
Testimonial from Chloe B
I have looked and tried a number of dog walkers and carers over the past few years since getting my Beagle, Frank. I was delighted to have finally found Alice. From the minute I met her I was confident I could trust her with Frank and she was clearly capable of looking after him – even though beagles are renowned to be difficult off the lead with their re-call. I have no hesitations anymore leaving Frank when I go to work as he clearly loves Alice’s visits to the house. When I get back from work he has clearly had a good time, plenty of exercise and play. I have also used Alice to dog sit Frank overnight in the house and it was fantastic. So much easier than having to drop him off at kennels. I couldn’t recommend Alice highly enough.
About Rory
Rory is a Cocker Spaniel through and through. He is lively and a very happy little man. He is very quick on walks but never runs far. Rory does a thing called the 'lamb jump' where he pounces on his toys as if he were a springy little lamb in the fields. He is best friends with Frank and we all go for lovely walks together.
Testimonial from Lucy B
Alice has been caring for Rory, our cocker spaniel puppy for a few months now and we’ve been really impressed with her services. Juggling full time work and a puppy is never easy, but Alice has made herself available to look after Rory at short notice, whether it’s for an afternoon walk or for the day. Most importantly, Rory seems really happy with Alice and is always tired after spending the day with her. Alice often sends us texts to let us know how they are getting on and photos of their day together.
About Fergus
Fergus is an Irish Setter with a lovely auburn colour and a wonderfully friendly personality. He loves to go for walks in the University Parks where he seems to know everyone and everyone knows him! He is always playful and frequently nudges the coat pocket on a walk when he wants a biscuit. Fergus loves to then come home and have his supper.
Testimonial from Chris C
Alice has always has an excellent rapport with any dogs, especially our ones. She is thoroughly organised, and arrives at the time we have chosen, and we then have to wait for our pooch, Fergus (a handsome adult Irish Setter) to stop being so ecstatic about her arrival. He just knows he’s going to be in for the best of times! She is confident when walking him – both on and off the lead, and has quickly understood his routine when they are out together. She is easily able to handle the other canine friends he meets and greets, and Fergus in turn, knowing who’s boss on that particular walk, and has learnt to come back to her call very quickly.
In addition, Alice has been happy to do an overnight dog care, and that has worked extremely well. Her honesty and integrity has given us the confidence to leave her in full charge of the house and Fergus of course. I have no hesitation in recommending Alice to caring for your ‘best friend’. We are lucky to have her services so locally.
About Ile and Seil
Ile and Seil have parents (that's the human variety) who are Scottish so their dogs are named after Scottish Islands. Ile is 11 and Seil is 5; they both have lovely natures and are extremely well behaved. Ile likes a gentle and relaxed walk while Seil always takes his favourite toy for a throw and fetch. The three of us always have an enjoyable time together.
Testimonial from Derek B
Alice has been walking Ile and Seil (Weimaraners) for a few months now. The best testimonial would be from them but they can’t write or speak so they’ve asked me to do one: "We are very happy with Alice, she lets us run around but keeps us safe and we are happy to return to her (on our terms of course) whenever she asks or whenever we have finished what we are doing. When we return to our kennel after our walk she leaves us our lunch which we promptly eat. We then go to sleep quite contently for a few hours till our mum and dad return from generating our food vouchers."
About Billie
Billie was born in Cambodia in 2008. Her first owners ran over her paw by accident and abandoned her at a vets as they could not afford the fees. Ben's (Billies owner) mum took her on from the vets and looked after her in Cambodia for just over 7 years. At the same time, Nicky began an animal welfare charity and so Billie lived alongside other rescued street dogs and cats during that time. At Christmas, Billie relocated to England in the hope that her skin and paw could be better treated over here.
Before Billie goes out on a walk a little shoe has to be put over over paw, she is then able to enjoy a gentle walk down the road to the nature reserve. Billie is very much a sun lover but finds it a bit of struggle to go outside in the rain. She is an extremely affectionate little dog.
Testimonial from Lucy and Ben T
Since Alice has started walking Billie, she has seemed much happier and calmer when we have returned from work each day. We met Alice beforehand and she was more than willing to deal with Billie's extra needs relating to a damaged paw. Alice always informs us if she notices anything wrong and it has given us peace of mind to know she is there to see Billie each day.
About Louqui
Louqui was a born with a curly tail which really adds to his colourful character. He has a favourite toy monkey which he loves to play with. He is a delightfully lively puppy with bags of energy; he will be rushing around one minute and be collapsed fast asleep the next. Louqui is always great fun and a lovely companion to be around.
Testimonial from Caroline F
Alice is a very energetic and charming young woman. She clearly knows and loves dogs, having grown up with them and being familiar with all their habits. She is extremely punctual, responsible and willing to fulfil all your wishes in caring for your dog. She enjoyed playing with my pup and seeing to his needs, so that my mind was completely at ease when I left the house.
